The Season 3 finale of Tulsa King lands Sunday on Paramount+, closing out the most explosive chapter yet for Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight “The General” Manfredi. Episode 9 left fans stunned with the introduction of Samuel L. Jackson’s Russell Lee Washington Jr., a feared hitman originally tasked with killing Dwight. Instead, the two men reveal a complicated shared history and forge an uneasy alliance. But even with Jackson’s character at his side, Manfredi is far from safe. Stallone, who also serves as executive producer, insists his character isn’t destined for a tragic end — despite the chaos surrounding him.
“He’s not going to be shot. He’s not going to be run over. He’s not going to find a lump in his neck and that’s the end,” Stallone told AARP, according to TVLine. “He already suffered 25 years in prison. I want him to go out as a success.”
Rising stakes and new threats
Season 3 has pushed Dwight harder than ever, as he tries to protect his distillery business while shielding his family from danger. His expansion in Tulsa has drawn the attention of powerful adversaries, including the Dunmires — an entrenched old-money dynasty unwilling to tolerate outsiders.
