Alexander Brothers Convicted on All Counts in Federal Sex Trafficking Trial, Face Life in Prison

NEW YORK, MARCH 11, 2026 — A federal jury in Manhattan delivered a sweeping verdict Monday, finding three brothers guilty on all charges in one of the most high-profile sex trafficking cases in recent American history. Twins Oren and Alon Alexander, 38, and their older brother Tal Alexander, 39 — two of whom were once celebrated as the nation’s top luxury real estate brokers — now face the possibility of life in prison after being convicted on 10 counts each, including conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and multiple counts of sexual abuse.

The verdict, read aloud in the Southern District of New York courtroom of U.S. District Judge Valerie E. Caproni, came after nearly three days of deliberation and five weeks of testimony from more than 30 witnesses. Eleven accusers took the stand and described being sexually assaulted by one or more of the brothers. Prosecutors argued the men ran a coordinated, decade-long scheme in which they exploited their social status and considerable wealth to lure women into situations where they could be drugged and assaulted.

“They used a consistent playbook to lure, isolate and rape their victims,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Jones said during closing arguments. “Not only did they commit these crimes without remorse, they did it with callousness, with a perverse sense of pride.”

According to prosecutors, the conspiracy spanned from approximately 2008 to 2021 and involved victims across multiple states. The brothers allegedly used promises of exclusive parties, luxury travel, yachts, and free accommodations to gain access to women, then drugged and attacked them at venues ranging from New York City nightclubs to ski chalets in Aspen, Colorado and resorts in the Caribbean. Investigators said more than 60 women told authorities they had been raped by one or more of the Alexander brothers.

Oren and Tal Alexander had built a formidable public profile as real estate’s so-called “A Team” at Douglas Elliman before launching their own brokerage. Alon Alexander ran the family’s private security business. The brothers were arrested in Miami in December 2024, and have been jailed since then. Their fall from prominence shook the New York luxury real estate world, where they had cultivated an image of wealth, power and social access.

Among the additional charges, Alon and Tal Alexander were convicted of sex trafficking of a minor. Oren and Alon Alexander were convicted of aggravated sexual abuse by force or intoxicant and sexual abuse of a physically incapacitated person. Oren Alexander was further convicted of sexually exploiting a minor after prosecutors presented video evidence showing him appearing to assault a drugged 17-year-old girl.

Testimony during the trial was graphic and detailed. One accuser said she met the brothers in 2012 at a party in actor Zac Efron’s Manhattan apartment — Efron, who was not accused of any wrongdoing, had no significant interaction with her, she testified — before being attacked later that night. Another witness testified she was raped by Alon Alexander in Aspen in 2017 when she was 17 years old. “I don’t want their money. I just don’t want them to have it,” she told the jury.

Defense attorneys argued the encounters were consensual and sought to undermine the credibility of the accusers, suggesting faulty memories or financial motivations. Attorney Howard Srebnick insisted during closing arguments that no one was assaulted or trafficked. After the verdict, lead defense attorney Marc Agnifilo vowed to appeal. “We believe in our clients’ innocence and we’re not going to stop fighting until we prevail,” he said outside the courthouse.

U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton, whose office prosecuted the case, praised the victims for their courage and used the moment to draw attention to a broader issue. “Sex trafficking and other federal sex offenses are present in many walks of life, and we have not done enough to root it out,” Clayton said in a statement. He called the verdict a vindication for victims of crimes that frequently go unreported.

The three brothers showed no visible emotion as the foreperson read 19 consecutive guilty verdicts. Their parents, seated in the gallery, appeared visibly stunned. Alon Alexander’s wife shielded her face and appeared to fight back tears.

Sentencing has been scheduled for August 6 before Judge Caproni. The brothers face the possibility of spending the remainder of their lives behind bars.
